What is Ronin?
                    

                    
Ronin Network is an EVM-compatible blockchain developed by Sky Mavis, the Vietnamese studio behind the hit blockchain game Axie Infinity. Originally created to power Axie Infinity’s ecosystem, Ronin has since evolved into a permissionless blockchain aimed at merging gaming and decentralized finance (DeFi). It offers fast, low-cost transactions and provides the seamless infrastructure needed to build Web3 games and dApps, enabling developers to deliver player-centric experiences. Fueled by its native token $RON, the network transitioned from a Proof-of-Authority model to a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) mechanism in April 2023. This move enhanced decentralization, allowing RON holders to stake and participate in validator selection.
