What is Miden?

Miden is a zero-knowledge rollup built on Ethereum, spun out of Polygon Labs and backed by $25M in seed funding from a16z, 1kx, and Hack VC. Designed for scalable and private computation, Miden introduces client-side proving, allowing users to execute and verify their own transactions locally for improved privacy and throughput. Miden is actively contributing to Polygon’s AggLayer and is targeting a mainnet launch in Q4 2025. The Alpha Testnet is now live—users can install the Miden Wallet, claim test tokens, and begin exploring the network. Early testers may qualify for a potential $MIDEN airdrop post-TGE. In a major ecosystem move, Miden has committed 10% of its future $MIDEN token supply to be distributed to Polygon ($MATIC) stakers, reinforcing its deep alignment with the broader Polygon ecosystem.
