What is Katana?

Katana is a purpose-built blockchain tailored for decentralized finance (DeFi), aiming to solve two of the sector’s biggest pain points: deep liquidity and sustainable yield generation. Developed by the Katana Foundation and incubated by Polygon and GSR, Katana introduces a concentrated liquidity model that funnels user capital into three core DeFi verticals: Morpho for optimized lending, Sushi for spot trading, and Vertex for perpetuals.
